The Thomas Menner 1701 light beer follows the traditions of the European monastery brewery, and in spite of its lightness it has the suitable character not only to serve as an attention caller before the other Thomas Menner beers but to be more than the average light beers on the market. Therefore, this drink with its alcohol content of 5.8 V/V% is made with special, unconventional hopping. A mild red shade joins its light golden colour because of the addition of pale ale and carared malts. In its taste the spicy, fruity aromas featuring the English and Belgian beers appear, however, its main character comes from the taste of the hop. Full taste and the stability of foam characterize this beer. Its fragrance evokes monastery gardens.
